Enterprising sixth-formers at Oakbank School have been praised for raising more than £3,000 for charity.
Head of enterprise Jeanette House said: "The two main charities that we support as a school are Manorlands and an orphanage in Tanzania, called Forever Angels."
Pupils raised money by setting up a jewellery business and a 100 club', she said.
"In the 100 club, pupils sell the numbers one to 100 for £1 each and then a winning number is picked. Whoever has the winning number is given £40, while the remaining £60 goes to charity - it is very popular with the staff.
"With the jewellery business, they buy the jewellery wholesale and sell it to pupils, running it as a business. All their profit goes to Manorlands."
Through their PHSE and citizenship programme, led by Manny Delgado, pupils have also managed to raise money through a variety of activities such as carol singing in Haworth.
Rachel Gallagher, head of pastoral care post-16, said the school had created good links with Manorlands and would continue to develop them in 2008.
