Bosses of Bingley's only supermarket are in talks with developers over its future.
The town's Co-op is currently "in discussions" with the new developers of Myrtle Walk shopping centre, where the supermarket has been based since September 2005, after taking on the lease from Safeway.
Developers 4Urban have been given the green light to redevelop the centre, which will be called 5Rise, and the current Co-op site is not included in the plans.
However, space is to be given up for a larger supermarket and several major stores, rumoured to include Marks & Spencer, are interested in moving in to the site A Co-operative Group spokesman said: "At this stage we are still in discussions with the developers regarding Myrtle Walk."
