A Bradford pupil referral unit (PRU) has been named a regional winner in the British Food Fortnight Cook for Life Challenge.
Jesse Street PRU, which caters for disaffected secondary school pupils, entered the competition after youngsters designed an autumn menu which they would be capable of cooking themselves.
Thanks to the pupils' efforts, the school will receive a smoothie maker, kitchen scales, aprons and baking equipment in the new year.
Their menu included grilled chicken and red onion salad, macaroni cheese with green salad, apple and blackberry crumble with custard and Yorkshire biscuits.
