THIS week saw the long-awaited re-opening of non-essential shops.
Shoppers have been returning to city centre stores and centres, including Kirkgate Shopping, once more commonly known as Bradford’s Arndale Centre.
Here we take a look back at shopping in the Kirkgate centre over the years. Cushions, curtains, socks, underwear, home accessories - whatever you needed, you could find it - and still can - at Kirkgate Market.
We're also taking a look at John Street Market, which has long been popular with Bradford shoppers.
As well as the clothing on offer, there are rolls and rolls of material. Fabric stalls at John Street and Kirkgate markets were particularly popular with people wanting to make bridesmaid dresses and everyday clothes.
Which Bradford shops did you like shopping in and what are your memories of shopping?
