Police are urging young people to keep their latest gadgets safe.
Officers in the Bradford South Division fear iPods and mobile phones given as Christmas gifts could make their owners victims - if flaunted.
Detective Inspector Simon Bottomley of Bradford South CID said: "Our message really is two-fold. At this time of year we would expect young people getting the latest iPods and mobile phones for Christmas. We would ask them just to take a bit of extra care and use their common sense while they are out and about in the city centre.
"Keep your property hidden and if you do need to use your phone, make sure you know who is around you."
The warning follows the sentencing of two teenagers in Bradford on Friday - a 16-year old who was sentenced to four years for robbery, burglary and possession of a firearm, and an 18-year-old got nine months for two offences of robbery.
