Christmas came early for pupils and staff at a Bradford district primary school.
Government inspectors awarded Farnley C of E Primary in Otley an overall rating of good - but added care guidance and support and pupil development at the Farnley Lane school were outstanding.
Chairman of governors David Portlock, said: "This is an excellent achievement and demonstrates that Farnley is a leading primary school in the provision of education to young children.
"It's a wonderful Christmas present to the school family."
Inspectors also noted the school's efforts in areas including communication technology, sporting and musical activities and the quality of core curriculum teaching.
Annette Catterson, head teacher, said: "We will not be resting on our laurels. For example, we are working towards the Healthy Schools Mark and we have identified areas where we will raise our game even further."
