WEST YORKSHIRE Police's Wildlife and Rural Crime unit has had a busy start to the week, with a number of animal-related incidents reported across the county.
Yesterday evening, police said that - in the previous 24 hours - they had dealt with over 20 incidents.
Officers dealt with nine dog-related incidents, eight loose horses, two loose farm animals and five "other" incidents.
"Sometime in the last week", officers added, some "unknown suspects" dug out a badger sett in Kippax, near Garforth, and started a fire.
The Wildlife and Rural Crime unit urged anyone with information about this incident, or similar ones, to get in touch, or to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
