BRADFORD City maintained their League Two play-off push with a victory on a bizarre afternoon.
Anthony O’Connor’s 42nd strike was enough to seal the points for the Bantams, but the result was almost overshadowed by what happened among their opponents’ ranks.
Stefan Payne was sent off at half-time for head-butting former City player Filipe Morais in really unusual scenes.
The Bantams move on to this Tuesday night when they host Crawley Town.
Here are some of the views from City fans after yesterday’s match:
One positive today is the continued transformation of Anthony O’Connor. I, like many other #bcafc fans I imagine, would not have imagined championing him to get a new contract. But by god the lad deserves it! Plays brilliant now in EVERY position.

Win is a win, 5 wins from 7 guarantees the play-offs for me. Still an ask but doable. Think 4 could be enough for 7th too.

All in all, squad isn’t anywhere near League 1 level so anything is a nice bonus, especially considering the shower Pre-Christmas. #bcafc
😅 | @andy9cook wasn't on the scoresheet today - but we still managed to cram a @WWE celebration in there...
