VOLUNTEERS of all ages mucked in over the Easter weekend to plant a community garden on Shipley Fields.
After some brilliant work, the patch situated between Otley Road, Norwood Place and the Red Beck Allotments, is now prospering with an orchard, woodland and jam hedge all planted.
Working in socially distanced groups of six, children and adults came together to transform the area into a haven of fruit trees and bushes with a picnic area for the local community to enjoy.
Fruit Works, in cooperation with Bradford Council’s Parks and Green Spaces team, were responsible for coming up with the idea and organising the event.
The funding has come from the Shipley Towns Fund Award.
