BRADFORD has been revealed as one of the top 10 cities in the UK most concerned about their high street, according to a survey.

A total of 40 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) owners in Bradford state they are worried about its decline.

The takepayments Limited annual 2021 business challenges report of 1,000 small business and decision makers finds three in 10 (30 per cent) small business owners consider the decline of the high street as one of their biggest challenges for the year ahead, as almost three quarters (69 per cent) state they have noticed a decrease in consumer spending.

The report finds small business owners in Bradford are concerned about the decline of their high street as two fifths state they are worried about their high street as over three quarters (80 per cent) reveal they have noticed a decline in consumer spending.

Belfast is the UK city most concerned about the decline of the high street with 43 per cent, followed by Sheffield and Bradford, both with 40 per cent.
