YOU might not have heard, but a huge cargo ship has been blocking a major waterway since last Tuesday.

The Ever Given, run by Taiwan’s Evergreen Marine Corporation, has wreaked havoc for the past week after it became stuck in the Suez Canal, Egypt.

It is a key trade route that connects the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea and it is estimated the Suez Canal Authority and Egypt will have lost more than £69 million with other vessels unable to get past the blockage.

The 220,000-ton, 400-metre-long, megaship was freed yesterday to much fanfare and the authorities are now working a backlog of roughly 400 ships.

It is still not entirely clear what exactly caused the Ever Given to run aground and block off the canal, but some reports indicated that a wind might have blown it off course.

The real question is though, have you ever wondered what the colossal ship might look like stuck in some of Bradford's waterways and water bodies?

Well, here at the T&A, we've answered that most burning of posers by using the "Evergiven Everywhere" online tool.

The website allows you to move a to-scale satellite image of the Ever Given across the world map and place it wherever your heart desires.

Here are a selection of waterways and water bodies in the Bradford district and surrounding areas, with the Ever Given ship in it.
