Skipton's Escape bar will close for a week in early January and reopen with a new name and as a trendy gastro-eatery.
The Jerry Croft business and its counterpart in Ilkley have been sold to The Portland Group.
The venue is set to be refurbished and transformed into a Hide Bar & Grill.
A spokesman for The Portland Group said: "It will complement what's already in a beautiful market town. We will use local companies and recruit locally."
