Bradford’s Bridgerton style manor you can rent after lockdown

In Bradford it’s entirely possible as there is a luxurious manor tucked away on Royds Hall Lane- and it looks like it has been taken straight out of the TV show, Bridgerton.

Best of all, you can rent the house yourself- that’s if you can afford the £3750 daily rental price.

For those who don’t know, Bridgerton is the Netflix series that television-lovers are raving about.

It is based on the Julia Quinn novel The Duke and I, following the journey elite families as they try to find love.

It’s set in the Regency era in England and the show is filled with costumes and buildings typical of the era.

Royds Hall Manor would have been the perfect filming location for the Netflix show as it has a period aesthetic- it has also been the temporary home for members of the royal family.

Royds Manor Hall is more than 800 years old and is even included in the Domesday book.

A lot of historical significance is attached to it too.

King Henry V actually gave the house to the Rooke family as a gift and this family became tenants of the land in the year 1313.

The Reverend Joseph Dawson wrote religious text at the house whilst local scientist Joseph Priestly may have discovered Oxygen there.

The property itself is breath-takingly beautiful; the privately owned road snakes up to the manor.

After you make your way through the wrought iron gates, you are taken to a substantial courtyard which could easily have been a backdrop to a Bridgerton scene.
