A PROPERTY developer has completed his latest project - turning an old farmhouse into a modern six-bedroom home worth £750,000.
Richard Masters has spent the last two years turning a 'dilapidated' two-bedroom farmhouse at Meadowcroft Farm in Spring Lane, Eldwick, into a contemporary property that he has already sold.
The project has included a loft and garage conversion and two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, with three bathrooms in total.
He has sold the completed property for £750,000 with the new occupants moving in later this week.
Meanwhile, despite the setbacks of the last year, Mr Masters has also continued to work as a property developer, running RM Developments, as the construction industry was exempt from the employment restrictions imposed by the Government during lockdown.
He says it has been a private project for himself and not part of his growing property portfolio.
Mr Masters said: "It's been a while in the making. It's taken me just over two years to get it to where I wanted it.
"It's cost us hundreds of thousands of pounds. It's been my own thing.
"It is to a high specification and is an eco-property as well.
"It has not been done as part of the business, this is more of a personal one for me.
"We had a lot of interest in it. People have been in looking around it. There are new people moving into it this week.
"It's a bit of a one-off. I bought it as a two-bedroom dilapidated bungalow in an old farmers' house.
"I had a vision for it straight away."
He has now moved on to a couple of house projects in north Leeds.
He has also spent the last year, including the lockdown period, building up his supercars business and is now putting the finishing touches on his 10-car showroom, which will open in Guiseley.
In the meantime word has spread and he has already been doing business, selling some of his range of vehicles to rich clients from across the country.
His luxury and classic car dealers, Masters Prestige, sees him offer a slice of James Bond's lifestyle by selling modern and classic supercars, with prices ranging between £20,000 and £250,000.
Ferrari, Aston Martin and Porsche are just some of the brands of supercars on sale through Mr Masters' business.
