THIS was the scene on the M62 this evening as firefighters tackled a car blaze.
It happened on the eastbound carriageway of the motorway, between junction 26 and 27.

Firefighters, police and traffic officers were called to the fire and lanes one, two and three were closed.
Lanes two and three re-opened just after 7pm, while recovery of the car was awaited.
