Comparing year-on-year data, buyer searches in Bradford have increased by 80 per cent in the last 12 months.
Working with Rightmove, we have also broken down this data to see which Bradford areas are the most popular with buyers- and also included some homes for sale in these areas right now.
Here are 9 areas in Bradford which have attracted the attention of many buyers over the last year:
1. Apperley Bridge
Annual increase in buyer searches: 80%
According to the Rightmove data, Apperley Bridge is the most sought after Bradford area for prospective buyers right now.
According to Rightmove, the average price paid for a house in the village in the last 12 months is £261,462.
If you want to get a house in this popular Bradford area then you better act fast.
This Parkin Lane property is just one house on the market in Apperley Bridge.
It’s £325,000 with four bedrooms.
The property itself is steeped in history, dating back as far as the 1880s.
2. Wyke
Annual increase in buyer searches: 70%
According to Rightmove, buyer searches in Wyke have increased by 70 per cent in the last year.
The average price paid for a house in the Bradford ward right now is £141,887.
If you are on a market for a Wyke property, then this one is for sale on Elizabeth Avenue.
It has three bedrooms and is described as the perfect family home to relax in.
If it wasn’t already big enough, there is potential to extend the property with the correct planning permissions.
3. Allerton
Annual increase in buyer searches: 56%
The average house price in Allerton is £142,349.
This Deanwood Crescent home is up for sale in the village for £235,000.
The property is described as “beautifully presented”, with three bedrooms and a “superb” garden.
4. East Bierley
Annual increase in buyer searches: 56%
Properties in East Bierley had an overall average price of £190,823 over the last year.
The majority of sales in East Bierley during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £145,889.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £174,112, with detached properties fetching £299,643.
Overall, sold prices in East Bierley over the last year were 19% up on the previous year and similar to the 2009 peak of £189,643.

5. Wilsden
Annual increase in buyer searches: 55%
Wilsden is another popular Bradford area for prospective buyers.
Properties in Wilsden had an overall average price of £222,489 over the last year.
The majority of sales in Wilsden during the last year were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £185,029. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £188,900, with detached properties fetching £336,297.

Overall, sold prices in Queensbury over the last year were 1% down on the previous year and similar to the 2018 peak of £162,954.
Luckily for those on a budget, there are some affordable properties for sale in the village.

8. Greengates
Annual increase in buyer searches: 39%
Currently, the average house price in this suburban area is £127,671- which is 20% lower than the previous year.

It has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an impressive two reception rooms.
9. Low Moor
Annual increase in buyer searches: 38%
This might be the last Bradford area on our list, but it has still seen an impressive 30% increase in buyer searches over the last year.
According to Rightmove, properties in Low Moor have an average price of £137,920.
The majority of sales in Low Moor during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £151,520.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £96,139, with detached properties fetching £235,499.
This Moor Top Road home is on the market for £210,000- but it’s being sold via auction so expect this figure to change.
It has four bedrooms and a whopping three bathrooms.
The master bedroom even benefits from its own en-suite bathroom.
