POLICE are appealing for information after a memorial bench was vandalised in Silsden Park.
In the early hours of this morning (March 16) suspects damaged a memorial garden in the park, but were disturbed and fled the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Sergeant Dave Purcell, of Keighley NPT said: “This is an incredibly distressing incident for the family who the memorial belongs to. We are investigating this incident and I would like to appeal to the public for any information to assist with our enquiries.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any further information, please contact the police via 101 quoting crime reference number 1321031176 or online. Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
