A ZEBRA crossing in Baildon town centre could soon be replaced with a pedestrian puffin crossing.
The crossing on Browgate - opposite Ian Clough Hall, is subject of a public consultation which began on Thursday.
Bradford Council’s Highways Department is proposing replacing the zebra crossing with the puffin crossing at almost exactly the same location.
Plan for housing on 'sensitive' Baildon site is withdrawn
Puffin crossings are the more modern version of pelican crossings, and use sensors to detect how fast the pedestrian is crossing the street.
The public consultation on the proposals runs until April 2.
