Police are appealing for witnesses after more than 20 football fans clashed in a busy high street when Bradford City's football match was called off.
A gang of Bantams fans fought a running battle with Rotherham United supporters in Wibsey High Street on Saturday.
The Yorkshire derby match had been called off when referee Danny McDermid pulled the plug less than three hours before the scheduled kick-off after carrying out two inspections of the Valley Parade pitch.
The fighting broke out at about 2.45pm.
PC Dara O'Shea, West Yorkshire Police's football intelligence officer, said: "People who create disorder on the streets of West Yorkshire will be dealt with seriously. We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour between rival football fans."
Anyone with information about the fight should contact West Yorkshire Police on 0845 6060606.
