A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a new sheltered accommodation complex for the second time in two months.
The woman is in her 20s and a member of staff at Dove Court, Bolton Street, Barkerend, Bradford, a fire service spokesman said.
She was on the building's landing outside the first-floor flat when it set alight at about 8.10pm yesterday.
A fire crew from Bradford attended the fire and used hoses to put out the flames and a fan to clear the smoke.
The woman, who is believed to be a care worker, was treated by paramedics at the scene and did not need to be taken to hospital.
The fire service spokesman could not confirm whether the blaze was being treated as suspicious.
It is the second time in as many months that firefighters have been called to tackle fires at Dove Court, which only opened earlier this year.
Previously, a woman in her 80s had become trapped in a burning flat at the sheltered accommodation complex.
About 40 residents aged 55 and above had to be evacuated from Dove Court when fire started in the bedroom of another first-floor flat.
Following the blaze on November 17, firefighters hailed the brave actions of the estate manager who picked up the 80-year-old woman and carried her from her smoke-logged flat before evacuating the rest of the residents.
She went up to the elderly woman's heavily smoke-logged apartment, picked her up and carried her outside before evacuating the rest of the residents.
