KIRKLEES Council has brought in a new team of Covid Community Support Officers (CCSO) to work across the borough.

They will provide advice and reassurance to residents and will work closely with essential businesses to provide support in making sure premises continue to be Covid-secure.

Cllr Paul Davies, Cabinet Member for Culture & Greener Kirklees, said: “The extra recruitment of officers will be significant in assisting businesses as we move through the Government's roadmap. As we begin to see non-essential shops and the hospitality sector open once again, it’s vital that we have the resources in place to support those businesses so that they can operate to the best of their ability while keeping our residents safe."
