A FURTHER one Covid-19-related hospital death has been reported in Bradford today, according to the latest NHS figures.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported the one death, on March 6, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust did not report any further deaths.
It means the total number of reported hospital deaths in the Bradford district, according to NHS figures, now stands at 838 - 580 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 256 at Airedale and two at the Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Nationally, a further 101 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 84,467.
Patients were aged between 38 and 96 years old. All except five (aged 54 to 95 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from January 5 to March 7, 2021 with the majority being on or after March 3.
Their families have been informed.
The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
