A BRADFORD coroner has been issued with a formal warning following complaints he "spoke inappropriately" to staff.
A spokesperson for the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office said: "The Lord Chancellor and Lord Chief Justice have issued Senior Coroner Martin Fleming with a formal warning following an investigation which upheld complaints that he raised his voice and spoke inappropriately to two members of staff. In reaching their decision, they took into consideration that the coroner had a previously unblemished record of conduct, and that a number of other allegations were not upheld."
A Bradford Council spokesman said: “Bradford Council cannot comment on the outcome of an independent judicial process.”
Mr Fleming was appointed as HM Senior Coroner for West Yorkshire West in 2015.
