A "LARGE number" of fines were issued in Bradford yesterday for Covid-19 breaches.
Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team and Bradford Council issued the fines after people were found to be "meeting with other households to smoke shisha and eat takeaways" on Leeds Road.
Police said this was "not a reasonable excuse to be out in the current lockdown" and added that "these people are jeapordising the government's most recent announcement for relaxing the lockdown rules".
Neighbourhood Policing Team officers will continue to actively patrol the area and "take positive action" for any further breaches that are found, it was said.
