A man who carried out sex offences against three young girls has been told he faces an "inevitable" prison sentence.
Dexter Matthews, 43, of Bradford Road, Moorend, Cleckheaton, pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court yesterday to three charges of rape of a girl under 16, two charges of indecent assault on a girl under 14 and two of sexual assault on a child under 13.
The offences took place at various dates between April, 1999, and December, 2005.
Sentencing was adjourned for a probation report.
Matthews was granted conditional bail and told to sign on the sex offenders' register.
The judge, Mr Recorder David Hatton, QC, told him: "Because of the nature of the offences to which you have pleaded guilty a custodial sentence is inevitable."
