A COMMUNITY centre is appealing for information after vandals struck.
Scholemoor Beacon, based on Dracup Avenue, shared the news on Facebook today.
A post said: "A bit disappointed to arrive at the centre this morning to find the new door damaged, handle smashed off and sweets stuffed down the inside the door hollow.
"Builders had to drill out the lock to gain entry. We understand times are hard for everyone right now and that boredom must be a huge thing for a lot of people but damage to the building is not the answer.
"We are working hard to provide a service and to improve the centre for everyone.
"We know that we have the support of so many people and we would ask anyone who knows anything to let us know in confidence. If you are local please keep on being vigilant and we really appreciate everybody that looks out for the centre on a daily basis.
"Thanks everyone."
