THERE has been one new reported death from coronavirus in hospitals in the Bradford district.
NHS England announced in today's update (Sunday, February 21) that there was one further death reported from the Covid-19 virus at hospitals in the district.
It comes after there were no new deaths reported at hospitals in the Bradford district for the first time this week yesterday.
The death reported today was at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI).
It happened on Friday, February 19.
There were no further deaths at Airedale General Hospital and Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
The total death toll at hospitals in the Bradford district now stands at 810 - 560 at BRI, 248 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
NHS England announced 53 patients at hospitals in the North East and Yorkshire who tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19) have died.
Of those, 33 were reported at hospitals in Yorkshire and the Humber.
There were 13 in West Yorkshire - 10 at the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Pontefract Hospital, Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield, Dewsbury and District Hospital and community health services in Wakefield, two at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust and one at BRI.
Three were in North Yorkshire and the City of York - all of them at the Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust.
Five were in the East Riding of Yorkshire - all five at the Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
The final 12 were in South Yorkshire - six at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundations Trust, and then two at each of Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
There were an extra 258 deaths reported today across England, taking the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in the country to 81,304.
Patients in today's update were aged between 29 and 101-years-old.
All except 17 (aged 52 to 100-years-old) had known underlying health conditions.
The dates of the deaths ranges from Thursday, December 10, 2020 to Saturday, February 20, 2021.
Most were on Wednesday, February 17.
Their families have been informed.
