BRADFORD ranks as the second cheapest place in the UK to upsize your home, costing £55,347 on average.
Upsizing from a three to a four-bedroom home in Bradford is also the cheapest in the UK, where it will cost homebuyers £58,143 on average.
Belfast is in second place for upsizing, at a cost of £82,228.
The conveyancing comparison experts at Compare My Move have looked at data from house price sales across the country, revealing the locations where it is cheapest (and most expensive) to upsize your home.
Aberdeen tops the list for the cheapest average cost to upsize your home in the UK, where upsizing will set you back just £41,406.
It is also the cheapest place to upgrade from a four-bed (£316,635) to a five-bed home (£302,635), where you can save £14,010 on average. Bradford is then second overall.
In third is the coastal town of Plymouth, where it will cost you £58,669 on average to purchase a larger home. Upgrading from a four-bedroom home to a five-bedroom home is a £41,371 difference on average.
Unsurprisingly, London tops the list for the most expensive place to upsize your home, with an average cost of a huge £380,115.
Costing £180,000 less than London is Brighton and Hove, which ranks as the second most expensive location to upsize, setting you back around £199,608 on average.
Stoke-on-Trent ranks as the third most expensive place to upsize, with an average cost of £185,347. Bristol is the fourth most expensive at an average of £144,491.
