I DON’T like the idea of Wimbledon without its line judges. Almost 300 line judges could be axed for the first time in the tournament’s 144-year history this summer - with Covid restrictions meaning HawkEye technology is used instead.
These eagle-eyes judges do a brilliant job and their absence will be felt. But if they are going ball boys and girls should go too. I hate the way these top players take and toss back their towels without so much as a thank you. It’s about time they got their own towels and picked up their own balls.
