A FURTHER one Covid-19-related hospital death has been reported in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS England figures.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported the death, on Sunday, February 14, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust did not report any deaths.
It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 801 - 557 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 242 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
In West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported six deaths, Leeds Teaching Hospital NHS Trust reported 10 deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported one death.
Nationally, a further 474 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 79,593.
Patients were aged between 26 and 99 years old. All except 17 (aged 38 to 93 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from April 1, 2020 to February 15, 2021 with the majority being on or after February 12.
Their families have been informed.
The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
