A DEVELOPMENT of nine industrial units on a vacant Bradford site would bring "much needed new employment" to the area, according to a new planning application.
A planning application for light industrial units on vacant land on Preston Street, in the Listerhills area, has been submitted to Bradford Council by M Zaidi.
The site has been empty since a number of warehouses were demolished, and the application says around 14 full time jobs could be created once the units are built.
Industrial development planed for prominent site off Wakefield Road
Each unit would measure around 1,200 square foot, and there would be around 12 parking spaces on site.
The application says: "The site brings much needed new employment to Bradford.
"The site occupies a sustainable location that is accessible by a range of modes of transport including private car, public transport, walking and cycling. The proposals promote delivery of the proposal and comprise sustainable development."
A decision on the application is expected early next month.
