PLANS to build 25 homes on a site in Cullingworth have been withdrawn by the developer.
Last year an outline planning application to build 25 homes on an area of the former Manywells Industrial Estate was approved by Bradford Council.
A more detailed planning application, including house type and layout, was submitted by a Mr Malik in September.
However, that application was withdrawn this week.
20 people had objected to the plans, with many claiming there was not space in the village for another 25 households.
Affordable homes plan for former timber yard in Denholme is approved
Bradford Council usually requires 20 per cent of properties in housing developments to be allocated affordable housing.
However, the developers in this application claimed that there were "abnormal" costs in preparing the brownfield site for development, and providing this level of affordable housing would make the scheme "unviable."
The applicant can re-submit the plans within 12 months without having to pay an extra fee.
