AM I the only person in the country who hasn’t seen The Crown?
There is more in the papers about this Tv show than there is about the real royal family. Do we really need to see so much of Olivia Colman & Co - it is, after all, not real life.
It seems to have been going on forever and receives media coverage verging on the obsessive. Now it has been nominated for seven million Golden Globe awards, or something like that.
Such a deluge of publicity hasn’t tempted me in the slightest to sign up for Netflix, where it is aired. Quite the opposite. If I want to catch up with the Royals - and the real ones at that - there’s always those nightly Channel 5 documentaries.
