Police sent out extra patrols in an area of Bradford last night following a spate of suspected arson attacks.
Firefighters contacted the police after they attended four fires in Fairweather Green between 8.30pm and 9pm.
Fairweather Green crews put out two fires in wheeled bins in Firethorn Close at 8.55pm and a burning car in Willow Street five minutes later.
Bradford crews attended a blazing Vauxhall Astra in Washington Street at 8.30pm and then another couple of wheeled bins behind Barclays Bank in Duckworth Lane at 8.35pm.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire Service said the fires were all believed to have been started deliberately and police were investigating.
