FIRE crews extinguished a blaze at a house on Laisteridge Lane, Bradford, in the early hours of this morning.
A spokesman from Bradford Fire Station said the fire was in a communal lounge of a shared accommodation home. He said the fire was "well developed" on arrival, but firefighters contained the blaze in the room as the people in the house closed the door on their way out.
The occupants were not injured and although there was a lot of damage to the lounge, there was only smoke and water damage in other parts of the house.
And while two appliances from Bradford Fire Station and one from Fairweather Green responded quickly to the scene, the investigation into the cause of the fire was delayed by gridlocked roads due to heavy snow.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
