FOUR further Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today, according to the latest NHS figures.
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported two, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust also reported two deaths.
All four deaths at the two district hospitals were reported on Sunday, January 31.
It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 765 - 532 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 231 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported three deaths, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust reported six deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported three deaths.
Nationally, a further 767 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 72,912.
Patients were aged between 23 and 102 years old. All except 31 (aged 23 to 102 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from December 29, 2020 to February 1, 2021 with the majority being on or after January 27.
Their families have been informed.
The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
