Christmas celebrations will start early in Bradford next weekend courtesy of the district's Christian community.

Bradford Festival Choral Society and the Cathedral Choir will start off the occasion at 12.30pm next Sunday, December 22, in Centenary Square with extra help from the Filipino Community Association and a puppet show.

At 4pm there will be festive greetings from Pastor Gloria Hanley who is chairman of West Yorkshire African-Caribbean Council of Churches.

Royds Brass Bands will then play a selection of Christmas hymns.

Throughout the afternoon there will be craft workshops for three to ten-year-olds and a chance to wander through a mini-forest of Christmas trees decorated by local schools and church groups.
