A charity ball is set to be a bloomin' dazzler next year with tickets selling fast.
Marie Curie Cancer Care's Diamond and Daffodil Ball is just one event diaried to celebrate the charity's 60th anniversary. The Ball, sponsored by Bradford & Bingley and Sovereign Health Care, will be at The Cedar Court Hotel on Saturday, March 1.
Midlands-based band King Pleasure and The Biscuit Boys will be entrtaining guests with its members Crab Claw Tromans, Shark Van Schloop and front man King Pleasure kicking off the party mood by playing a mixture of authentic 1940's jazz and blues.
Marie Curie Cancer Care's fundraising manager Brian Curran said: "The response to the news about next year's ball has been phenomenal and tickets are selling fast.
"Everyone wants to know more about the band and when I tell people their name I am met with a mixture of amusement and fascination!
"We want this to be our best ball yet and I know everyone will have a night to remember."
Tickets for the ball cost £50 each, with tables of ten or 12, and are available by contacting the hospice fundraisers on (01274) 337036.
