A woman was rescued from her flat after a fire in the living room.
Firefighters from Keighley and Bingley tackled the blaze at Midland House, in Oakworth Road, Keighley at 11.32pm yesterday.
The woman, believed to be in her early 60s, was taken to Airedale General Hospital at Steeton after suffering smoke inhalation.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire Service said it was believed the fire had been caused after the woman tried to light a cigarette with matches and bits of paper.
