I’VE banged this drum before but I feel so strongly that I am going to bang it again. When will Mastermind stop allowing people to take part with Mickey Mouse specialist subjects? Popular TV series are in no way as hard to learn as subjects like the English Civil War or the Russian Revolution. People who choose lightweight TV shows invariably get all the questions right and come out in the lead after round one. Thankfully, they don’t always win - many are let down by their poor general knowledge. I may be accused of intellectual snobbery, but it’s in no way fair.
