A FURTHER nine Covid-19-related hospital deaths have been reported in the Bradford district today.
According to the latest NHS figures, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust reported six, while Airedale NHS Foundation Trust reported three.
Two patients died at Bradford on Sunday, January 24 and the other four were on Saturday, January 23. The three deaths at Airedale were all reported on Saturday, January 23.
It means that the total number of hospital deaths in the district, according to NHS England figures, now stands at 730 - 513 at Bradford Teaching Hospitals, 215 at Airedale and two at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Elsewhere in West Yorkshire, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust reported two deaths and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust reported four deaths.
Nationally, a further 609 people, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 67,046.
Patients were aged between 30 and 101 years old. All except 14 (aged 41 to 96 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
Date of death ranges from 17 December to 24 January 2021 with the majority being on or after 15 January.
Their families have been informed.
The figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed death cases reported at 4pm the previous day.
NHS England says: "Confirmation of Covid-19 diagnosis, death notification, death certificates and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure.
"This means that the totals reported at 4pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days."
