BRADFORD City finally played their first game of 2021, but it was a giantkilling from six years ago that Bantams fans recalled on social media.
The Bantams of 2021 kicked off the new year after a flurry of postponements with a goalless draw at Cambridge United played in wintry conditions.
But it was City’s 4-2 FA Cup giantkilling against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on January 24, 2015 that the Bantams faithful also looked back on this weekend.
Even Bantams legend Stuart McCall remembered the classic FA Cup tie with findness during an appearance on TV on Saturday.
Here is a selection of tweets marking both Saturday’s stalemate and THAT game at Chelsea:
Good to see #BCAFC legend with a smile and love his passion for our club 😍#BantamsFamily ❤️🧡 https://t.co/tSQ1UF5hxu

Yes we did. And what a day it was. Still the biggest FA cup shock in history. #bcafc https://t.co/tcsDUKNNR5

Good result at top of the league. Hope we take the shackles off at Southend and especially at home to Barrow. Great opportunity to climb the table, just hope we don't play it too safe #bcafc
