IT'S been a busy few days for the force behind Operation Steerside with a series of seizures and stolen cars.

Operation Steerside was set-up by West Yorkshire Police in 2016 to crack down on law-flouting motorists.

It initially focused on enforcement against the so-called ‘fatal four’ – speeding, not wearing a seatbelt, drink and drug driving and using a mobile phone at the wheel – but its area of work has expanded.

This Nissan Micra was sighted in the Bradford Moor area.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

After the driver realised it had caught the attention of officers, they drove off and abandoned the vehicle on a nearby street.

The car was seized for having no insurance.

Over in Holme Wood, Operation Steerside described one lucky find as "two for the price of one".

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

The Corsa was involved in a fail to stop along Wakefield Road in Bradford on Friday. The incident saw the driver travel down the wrong side of the road.

Officers believe the Ford Focus is a suspected 'pool car' - vehicles that are used for the purpose of taking criminals from crime to crime.

This vehicle was found in Baildon by the Shipley force after a member of the public "pointed" police to its location.

It was identified as an outstanding stolen vehicle from January 6.

Bradford Telegraph and Argus:

On Friday, Operation Steerside found a motorcycle which had been stolen during a burglary in the BD5 area.

It was recovered in Horton Park a few hours after the break-in.

The Bradford West force later found two people in connection with the burglary, having chased them on foot.
