PLANS to build industrial units on a vacant site off Wakefield Road have been submitted to Bradford Council.
The two units, and a digital advertising sign, have been proposed for the former site of the Bradmet Centre at the junction with Usher Street.
That building was demolished in 2016.
The application, by Saeed Hassan, would create 580 square metres of industrial space on the prominent site, next to Usher Street Primary School.
Work to transform one of most 'difficult to develop' sites in Bradford moves forward
It says: “The scale and area of the proposed represents the need for these contemporary commercial/industrial units within this industrial area.”
In 2017 a planning application to build a unit that would sell paint to the motor trade was approved, but this developmeut was never built.
A decision on the application is expected in late February.
