THESE are the five areas of Bradford with the best and worst Covid-19 infection rates in the past week.
Cases have been rising across the district in a similar vein to the picture across Britain, although Bradford has not witnessed as bad of a rise as many other areas such as London, the South East, East of England, North East and North West.
The infection rate currently across the district stands at 286.4 infections per 100,000 people in the seven days to January 10, the most up to date accurate figures.
This is way below the national average of 592.9, driven by the spiralling infections in the South.
However, some areas in Bradford have infection rates much closer to the national figure and even way above it, while some are way below the average for the district.
These figures are broken down by Middle Super Output Areas, a highly-localised method of recording statistics, covering areas with a population of 7,200 people.
The five areas with the worst infections rates are:
- Haigh Fold - 839 infections per 100,000 people
- Bolton Road & Kings Road - 564.8
- Horton Bank - 518.4
- Low Moor - 484.5
- Frizinghall & Heaton Grove - 473.2
The five areas with the best infection rates are:
- Saltaire & Baildon West - 113.2
- Ravenscliffe - 114
- Keighley Oakworth Road & West Lane - 124.2
- Keighley South - 129.3
- Menston & Burley Moor - 133.9
