FIRST has suspended its bus services for the rest of today, after the heavy snow gripped the district.
First Bus spokesman said: “Due to the impact of today’s extreme weather, all West Yorkshire services (except 590/592 ex Hebden Bridge) are suspended for the rest of the day on the grounds of safety.
"Our depot teams are working hard to return drivers and buses and prepare for full service tomorrow. We're very sorry for any inconvenience.”
Eearlier today, messages of buses stuck on Bradford district roads were also posted on social media.
A message on Facebook says: "Anyone waiting for a bus, there's about four to five stuck at the bottom of St Enoch."

Queensbury’s bus routes have also been affected by the wintry flurry. A message posted on social media said: “Trio of buses stuck outside at Ambler Thorn, give it a miss folks. Stay home, you’ll not get anywhere.
“Apparently just as bad further down towards Boothtown. Black ice under the snow! Happy days.”
Meanwhile, Keighley Bus Company has reported due to the snow, the only services running at present are:
- Aireline 60 (#Keighley - #Leeds)
- theSHUTTLE 662 (Keighley - #Bradford)
- Dalesway 66 (Keighley - #Skipton)
- Services around Otley.
