BRADFORD is set to get another spell of snow today and tomorrow.

Snow and sleet showers will hit Bradford today, kicking off a two-day spell of snow, particularly at 8am and a sleet shower at noon today, replaced by heavy rain showers by 1pm.

The wintry showers will start as sleet at 5am tomorrow and get heavier by an hour later, according to the Met Office.

This will make way for a heavier spell of snow between 6am and 2pm.

It will then continue to snow between 2pm and 11pm tomorrow.

This will result in a yellow weather warning for snow for large parts of the north of the UK between 8am today and 9pm tomorrow.

The warning says heavy snow may affect parts of the warning area, with possible significant travel disruption.

It adds possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers, especially across higher routes, with potential for road closures.

Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel Power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected Untreated pavements and cycle paths might be dangerous or even impassable, posing a greater risk of injuries and accidents.

This follows a spell of snow last Friday for the Bradford district, which led to the closure of schools and public transport disruption.

The snow will be shortlived, however, making way for a cloudy and dry day on Friday.
