A MAN had to be freed by firefighters from the wreckage of a crash last night.
Emergency services were called to Finkil Street, at the junction of Upper Green Lane in Hove Edge, Brighouse, at around 8.30pm to the smash between a Nissan Qashqai and VW Golf.
The driver of the Qashqai, a man thought to be in his sixties, had to be freed by firefighters and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said he had some injuries to his hips, hand and possibly his leg.
The driver of the other car was assessed by ambulance crews.
Firefighters from Rastrick and Cleckheaton attended and were at the scene for around an hour.
