HERE is the latest breakdown (Saturday's update), area-by-area, of positive cases of COVID-19 in Bradford.

In today's figures, the number of cases has once again gone up, to 1,539.

The daily number of people who tested positive for the virus and their result was reported today is 245, which represents a rise of 346 (29 per cent) from the previous week.

The Bradford district area with the highest number of cases was again Central Bradford & Barkerend West with 68, followed by Bierley & Tong with 53 and Buttershaw with 47.

The area with the least cases today was Keighley South with eight, followed by Addingham & Ilkley Moor with nine, and then Riddlesden & East Morton, Bowling Park and Brown Royd all with 10.

In the surrounding areas, the highest number of cases was Grassington, Upper Wharfedale & Gargrave with 57, followed by Skipton North & Barden Fell with 44 and Skipton Town & East with 39.

The area with the least cases today was both Cleckheaton and Liversedge, Littletown & Millbridge with nine, followed by Pateley Bridge & Nidd Valley with 10 and then Rastrick East with 11.

The data is provided by Public Health England and looks at cases by 'Middle Super Output Area (MSOA)' - a type of statistical unit used in the reporting of small area statistics.

It provides figures for areas which have had three or more positive cases, so some areas not listed below may have had positive cases, but less than three.

The data includes lab confirmed positive cases of Covid-19, with specimen dates in the seven days up to January 4.

MSOAs are a standard statistical geography of approximately 7,200 people.

Some MSOAs have the same name as local electoral wards and figures within the map should not be compared with ward data.
