A TOP Bradford pharmacist has urged anyone with symptoms to get tested without delay.
Dr Mahendra Patel, who works with number of national and local organisations including the English Pharmacy Board, told how he fell ill over the Christmas period and had two Covid-19 tests as a result.
The pharmacist tested negative for the illness but has a message to anyone else with symptoms.
Dr Patel said: "We're going to have to continue to be tested for a considerable period of time so get use to getting tested. You can have it at your door step, you've got it in different centres, you can have it in a drive through. You can have somebody coming to your home - it can't be better than that.
"It takes just a few moments to sign up and register and your results come by email or phone. You're protecting yourself but it's all the people around you you're protecting as well.
"If you have any of the three main symptoms, if you think it might be something else, it's so easy to get these tests done. Do it, you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain."
